Tastefully modernised, Stick Cottage dates back to the 19th century and is a one bedroom single storey, stone cottage set in the grounds of Tyn Rardd, with its own garden area and garden views from all windows. Stick Cottage, self-catering holiday cottage, is located in southwest Anglesey, in the rural village of Dwyran, close to Newborough beach and dune area (Newborough Warren) and 10 minutes drive from the picturesque villages of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll and Menai Bridge. The holiday cottage is ideally placed for other Anglesey beaches such as Aberffraw, Cable Bay, Lligwy, Traeth Bychan, Church Bay and Benllech; equally Stick Cottage is only half an hour from Snowdonia, Conwy, Llandudno and Caernarfon for numerous walking and sightseeing opportunities. There are village shops, pub, café and take-aways (Indian or Fish and Chips) within 5 minutes drive of Stick Cottage, self-catering holiday cottage.

This self-catering holiday cottage is sensitively decorated and furnished, with a comfortable combination of plain furnishing and interesting decoration, making Stick Cottage a ‘clean, crisp cottage with a lovely atmosphere’ (visitor feedback). Please note that although the cottage is single storey, there are a number of steps which may make it less suitable if you have additional access needs.

The bedroom in Stick Cottage can sleep 3 comfortably (one on air-bed, available by request). The 2 divan beds can form a ‘double’ bed when pushed together. The sitting room has an original inglenook fireplace, exposed beams and electric 'wood burner' stove. The large comfortable sofa would make a temporary bed for the occasional extra visitor or an airbed can be made available for a third person staying all week.

The kitchen in Stick Cottage is well equipped with an electric induction hob, microwave with convection oven and grill, fridge; it has a relaxing dining area with table and chairs for up to 4 people. Above the kitchen is a traditional crog loft for storage (mezzanine floor) which is accessed by fixed vertical ladder. Although there is no freezer or washing machine in the holiday cottage, both are available on request at any time. The shower room has a shower, hand basin and toilet. Stick Cottage garden area is for the exclusive use of visitors and catches the sun from morning to early evening, a perfect place to relax and watch the resident chickens; it has garden furniture and barbecue equipment.

Stick Cottage, self-catering holiday cottage on the Isle of Anglesey, is heated by oil central heating, with heat also available from the electric 'wood-burner' stove in sitting room. The holiday cottage has wireless internet access, colour TV, DVD player, selection of books, puzzles, games, DVD's and numerous tourist information leaflets. All heating and lighting are included in summer months but we do charge an additional £25 per week from 1st October - 31st March. Bed linen is provided but not towels, please bring your own. There is parking in the drive for 2 cars. If you require a cot and/or highchair, please request when booking. We can provide storage for kayaks and bikes. Smoking is not permitted anywhere. Unfortunately we cannot take pets, however well-behaved.

Anglesey is ideal for wildlife and is home to a huge variety of flora and fauna. Newborough forest is now famous for its red squirrels and raven roost. There are bird hides for ornithologists to spot waders and waterfowl at Newborough and Malltraeth. The coastal footpath and various kayak launch sites are nearby. Was the cottage clean and tidy on your arrival? Excellent – very good first impression on entering. Liked all the extra touches and the welcoming flowers, eggs and apples. Beautifully decorated and welcoming.

The sitting room is well-equipped, comfortable, good selection of books, local pictures.

The kitchen-diner is well-equipped and clear instructions for the microwave. Well thought out. A super-efficient toaster.

The bathroom is clean and bright, lots of hot water, really good towel rails and shelf space.

The bedroom is lovely and spacious and light. Very comfortable beds and good bed linen.

Lovely informal garden, trees groaning with fruit. Garden gets the sun all day.

The Information Pack was very helpful, seemed to have thought of everything.

Stick Cottage is probably the best self-catering cottage we have stayed in. It really felt like a home at the end of each day exploring Anglesey.
